Gallery Weekend

July 3 – 6, 2025

This weekend, Munich’s galleries, together with numerous partner institutions and museums, celebrate artists and the summer. Our collaboration with the Opera Festival makes the program even more colorful. This art weekend, a firm fixture in Munich’s cultural life since 1989, attracts many visitors from beyond the city limits to the art metropolis and its galleries with special opening hours, guided tours, and a wide range of educational offerings. We look forward to your visit!

Opening hours of galleries

Our galleries are open at the following times:

Thursday 3.7. |  6 pm  – 9 pm
Friday 4.7. | 11 am – 6 pm
Saturday,  5.7. | 11 am – 6 pm
Sunday,  | 11 am – 6 pm

Guided tours

Guided tours of the galleries in various Munich neighborhoods will take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We´re sorry, guided tours are only held in german language.

STELLDICHEIN! – Touring concerts, July 5, 2025, from 2:30 pm

A cooperation between the Bavarian State Opera and OPEN ART MUNICH

The Stelldichein! series takes the season motto and themes of the opera premieres as its starting point and develops individual, interdisciplinary and diverse formats with the city’s cultural partners.
