Sammlung Goetz / Schaufenster

Because of renovation Sammlung Goetz / Ismaninger Straße is closed. With the Schaufenster, the Sammlung Goetz has a new interim exhibition space on Pacellistraße in the heart of Munich. The name refers both to the location of the new exhibition space and to the curatorial concept developed for it. It envisions the presentation of key artistic positions from the Sammlung Goetz in curated temporary exhibitions. The first exhibition features the Scandinavian artist duo Elmgreen & Dragset with the exhibition “Handle with Care”. In dialogue with works by Rosemarie Trockel, Cindy Sherman, Richard Prince and Tom Sachs, a multi-layered parcours unfolds that raises questions about vulnerability, identity and the tensions between private and public space.
