Galerie arToxin

15. February 2026

The arToxin gallery sees itself as a venue for interdisciplinary exhibitions and events that focus primarily on contemporary visual art and music. Visitors are invited to enjoy an art experience that thrives on the cross-fertilization of different disciplines.

ANNUAL EXHIBITION 2025 on display until January 31 in the gallery. The exhibition shows small and medium-sized formats by the artists who had solo exhibitions in the gallery in 2025:
Caroline Krause / Painting, Ben Goossens / Paper works. Julia Smirnova / Photography. Bruno Kuhlmann / Painting + Drawing. Michael Nischke / Photography

We are increasingly finding that artists are no longer tied to a specific genre. The boundaries between painting, drawing, installation, audio, video and photography have become blurred. We take this development into account in our exhibition work by not restricting ourselves to a single art direction. Rather, we present selected contemporary artists who consciously look beyond the boundaries of disciplines with their works – be it that a sculptor creates videos, a photographer creates sculptures, a visual artist plays in a band or a musician develops his own cosmos of signs.

It is not without reason that the gallery is also open for readings and live concerts, in which exhibiting artists also take part – many of them are also musicians. Since the beginning of our activity, live music, especially improvised music, has had a permanent place in the program.
