What the City

Perspektiven unserer Stadt

15.05.2025 – 10.06.2027

The Münchner Stadtmuseum is expected to be closed until 2031 for a complete renovation. Until 2027, the interim exhibition “What the City. Perspectives on our city” will be shown on the ground floor of the historic armory. The cinema will remain open to visitors until June 2027.

The Münchner Stadtmuseum is currently showing an interim exhibition on the specially adapted ground floor of its historic armory. “What the City. Perspectives of Munich”, is an exhibition designed to bring together under one roof a host of contemporary themes relating to our city’s history drawn from almost all our collections. Its ten sections take a deep dive into issues such as security, poverty, the fight for equal rights, tradition and growth in Munich. We are delighted to be able to give Munich’s residents the opportunity to have their own say on these topics, and interactive participatory and multimedia displays have been designed to encourage visitor engagement. Opening hours: Tue-Sun 11 am – 7 pm, closed on Mondays
