In 1995, Renate Bender showed the exhibition “drei frauen konkret?” with works by Inge Dick, Rosa M Hessling and Maria Lalić at the opening of the new premises in Hohenzollernstraße in Munich. Since the gallery was founded in 1987, it had become increasingly involved with the concrete-constructive art movement.
Despite the not always easy times in the gallery sector and above all with the aforementioned program orientation, Renate Bender can today look back with joy and pride on well over 150 exhibitions.
Now, 30 years later in January 2025, she is delighted to present the exhibition “sechs frauen konkret?” with the three “artists of the first hour”, Inge Dick, Rosa M Hessling and Maria Lalić, as well as three representatives of a new generation of female artists who also work with a very reduced formal language – Marile Holzner, Angelika Huber and Eunji Seo.
