Parastou Forouhar
"WIDERWILLE"
01.06.2024 – 07.07.2024
Parastou Forouhar has lived and worked in Germany since the 1990s and her art is heavily concerned with activism and resistance against human rights violations, violence, political repression and torture in Iran and elsewhere.
In her works, Forouhar addresses important cultural challenges in a globalized world and makes them tangible through her examination of migration, foreignness and belonging.
She challenges viewers to reflect on their own position and encourages them to think critically about physicality and perception when viewing their art.
