The Tiger Room is pleased to present a dedicated exhibition showcasing the jewellery and objects of Benedikt Fischer, with a special focus on his ongoing collaboration with Rudy de Gruyl. Spanning works from Fischer’s graduation at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy to his most recent creations, the exhibition offers a compelling mid-career survey of his practice.
Benedikt Fischer (b. 1984, Fraham, Austria) lives and works in Amsterdam. After completing technical studies in Austria, he refined his craft at the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam.
Benedikt’s diverse practice is defined by collaboration and an exploration of various materials and approaches. His work has been exhibited internationally and is included in prestigious collections such as the Stedelijk Museum (Amsterdam), the National Gallery of Victoria (Melbourne), the CODA Museum (Apeldoorn), and the MAK Museum of Applied Arts (Vienna).
Over the years, Benedikt has received several notable accolades, including the Eligius Jewellery Award and the Mari Funaki Award for Contemporary Jewellery.
