Kneipe 80 is now a pop-up bar in the former Tresnejewski. The 80s flair comes to life here with retro furniture and vinyl music. With fair prices and DJ sets, it invites guests of all generations to an analog pub evening in the 80s living room.

Das Kunstareal

12. July 2025

There are so many galleries in the Kunstareal that we don’t want to suggest a specific tour. Just let yourself drift! And stop off at the odd café, pub or restaurant along the way. Great galleries are opening wonderful exhibitions during Gallery Weekend from July 3-6. Here we present the gallery owners’ favorite places around the galleries. Have fun discovering them!

Or: register for one of the guided tours through the Kunstareal. There are three guided tours of the Kunstareal during the Gallery Weekend from 3.7.-6.7.

Dr. Claudia Quittenbaum’s favorite place: Café Glyptothek. Surrounded by the world-famous ancient sculptures of the Glyptothek, you can enjoy a coffee or a glass of wine here, or in summer in the acacia-lined courtyard – a place of tranquillity in the lively art quarter.

Ariane Laue Kunsthandel – space for objects. Ariane Laue Kunsthandel presents a cross-epochal collection of European arts and crafts – characterized by a fascination for aesthetics and architecture, history and the present, art and science.
Theresienstr. 33

One of the favorite locations of Roger Sonnewald, Galerie J.J. Heckenhauer:
Theresa Grill. High-quality meat and fish dishes from the charcoal grill in a stylish ambience. With seasonal cuisine, an extensive wine list and a private bowling alley, the restaurant offers a special culinary experience.
